We had an interesting twist to UPS Battery Monitoring happen recently that I thought would be good to share. It started late last week when we reported to one of our customers that the UPS batteries were not charging in one of their data centers. They of course immediately checked their UPS and it reported a charge voltage of 540VDC, so they assumed the battery monitor was reading inaccurately.

When it comes to battery monitoring and mission critical data center operations, it is always great when I hear good news from customers, especially in the middle of a hurricane.   At IntelliBatt, we have monitored over a million batteries all over the world typically in mission critical data center and telecom environments.  These are environments where power HAS to stay on to run the servers that deliver all the critical utilities of the Internet we have become so dependent upon as a society.
