Lawrence T. Babbio, Jr.

Lawrence T. Babbio, Jr. is currently retired and serves on the board of numerous companies and foundations. He most recently served as a Senior Advisor to Warburg Pincus, a private equity firm focused on investment activities in the technology, media and telecommunications industries, from June 2007 until March 2012. Previously, Larry served as Vice Chairman and President of Verizon Communications, Inc., a telecommunications company, from 2000 until his retirement in April 2007. Larry also serves as chairman of the board of trustees of Stevens Institute of Technology and holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, and an M.B.A. from New York University.`

 

Jim Fleming
Joined the Canara Board of
Directors in July of 2012.

Jim is currently the managing partner at Columbia Capitol where he has been a partner since 1994. Jim focuses on investments in communications services, primarily in wireless, telecom, satellite, and media sectors. To date, Columbia Capital has invested in over 150 companies, ranging from small, early-stage investments to multibillion-dollar public companies. Jim received his B.A. from Stanford University.

 

Patrick Hendy
Joined the Canara Board of
Directors in July of 2012.

Patrick is a partner at Columbia Capital. He joined the firm in 2002 and focuses on investments in the Enterprise IT Services and Internet Infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Columbia, Patrick served as a senior analyst in the Communications and Media Investment Banking Group of J.P. Morgan in New York, structuring public/private equity and debt financings as well as merger/acquisition transactions. Patrick received his B.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University.

 

John C. Lee IV
Joined the Canara Board of
Directors in 2014.

John C. Lee IV currently serves as an Independent Board Director and offers corporate advisory services to both public and private companies. He is the former Founder, Chairman and CEO of Lee Technologies, Inc., a Fairfax, VA based company founded in 1983 and which was acquired in 2011 by Schneider Electric, a Paris, France based global specialist in energy management. Currently, Mr. Lee serves on various Corporate and non-profit Boards. Mr. Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA.

 

Grant van Rooyen
Joined the Canara Board of
Directors in July of 2012.

Grant is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Cologix. Prior to forming Cologix, Grant was CEO of IX Investments, which was acquired by Cologix in late 2010. He was with Level 3 Communications for 10 years from 1999 until 2009 where he held a number of leadership positions, including President of the Content Markets Group, with responsibility for over $1.5 billion of customer and product revenue. Grant holds a bachelors degree in economics and finance.
